Dahlfase, Why we would laugh? It is lovely! What wonderful use of strong graphic qualities. I likethe way the blue of the face balances the dark blue on the right side of the image. The lines are strong and fluid - it has a kind of Picasso meets the Fauves quality with all the bright colors and the shading onthe face! It seems a bit heavier on the right (because of so much dark color), but I don't think yo would want to change the shading on the left. Maybe the curve of the body compensates enough because the figure is weighted to the left. I like the way the tilt of the head and the eyes askance capture out focus. I think it is very nice and gives us lots to think about as we look at it. What do you like best about it? Where would you change it, if you did it again? Does it have a title? Did you paint it in acrylic? Have you already got a new painting in mind?

Sometimes I paint with Oils, but the ones I've been doing lately have been acrylics. I called this one "Blondie".
If I see a painting I like, I look at it, sketch it out in pencil on the canvas and start painting. I use my fingers to do much of the painting since I can't always get the brush strokes like I want them. VERY messy... but maybe my parents didn't let me finger paint enough as a kid! :-) I sketched a new one tonight and will probably paint it one night this week.

Did you guys know that TBD added a new feature today?? Called "SCRAPBOOKING" where you can post photos onto your profile? Pretty cool! I posted about 5 paintings I've done just to try it out.
VERY QUICK to post them and you can put titles/comments and taglines.
Check it out and add some of your creative art to your profiles.
:-)
Happy Monday Yall!
