In several of the discussions generated from this group the issue often touched values and how they are evidenced. Some wrote of what they done for their community, friends or society in general.
Do we have to demonstrate our value by taking up the cause of another, whiter they requested the assistance or not? Some people use the idea that
1) "we should do onto others as we would be done unto."
Some reframe the rule to state
2) "we should do unto others as they would want to be done onto."
From the earlier frame there is a imposition of values outside the person being done unto and in the later it is not.
Which frame do you use? Justification is optional.
