If I remember correctly In the late 50s & early 60s, there was a Chesterfield commercial with actors dressed in lab coats professing to be doctors and they were recommending their brand of cigarettes. Something like 4 out of 5 doctors recommend Chesterfield. This was when many of the tv shows were live broadcasts.

Their slogan was No song and dance about medical claims Maybe we should sue them for false advertising.
