Somewhere in the seventies a whole raft of American companies were banned from TV....Some of them had some great "tag lines"

Anybody remember these and can add to 'em?

" Come up...Come up...Come ALL the way UP...to KOOL"

" I'd rather FIGHT than switch."

" ...A thinkin' mans filter...with a smokin' man's taste.."

" One silly millimeter longer..."

" Parliment gives you...extra margin"

" Come to where...the flavor is....."

Since these are all cigarette tag lines, how about: Winston tastes good like a (snap snap) cigarette should.

If I remember correctly In the late 50s & early 60s, there was a Chesterfield commercial with actors dressed in lab coats professing to be doctors and they were recommending their brand of cigarettes. Something like 4 out of 5 doctors recommend Chesterfield. This was when many of the tv shows were live broadcasts.

If you believe the first ad at this link's site, you'll hope that you die from cigarettes.

My dad smoked Old Gold. Their slogan was No song and dance about medical claims Maybe we should sue them for false advertising. My dad had three primary cancers, and after they cut out half of his tongue, the tumor grew back and killed him.
