Is it not ironic that as our communication technology has improved tenfold the quality of that communication has dropped proportionally in the opposite direction?
Is it so much to ask that statesmen/women vying for the honor to be the nations leader, on occassion "stand and deliver"?
I can remember old scratchy 8mm reels of JFK, reading parchments from LIncoln, starring at the etched marble in the Jefferson memorial all whom communicated visions that STIRRED ME.
We live in challenging times and it is likely that these challenges will require the participation and contribution of time and talent from an increasingly distracted electorate. Are they distacted becasue X-Boxes, My Space and I-Pods are just too cool or is it that the quality of a politician to articulate the hopes and dreams of the masses is at an all time low.
Gore has important things to say, but does so in such a boring manner.
GWB should be advocating for the greater good, but struggles to put two sentences together with cohernet thought.
Hillary has yet to find a pitch, pace and posture that balances shrill vs passion.
The GOP have fielded a collection of stiffs
Maybe just maybe, we spend so much time nick -picking and we have such a low tolerance of alternative points of view that we have forced the able orators to hibernate in other walks of life.
