No. I'm still a Canadian citizen. My children (15 and 12) are US citizens. I'm just too lazy to make the change and honestly see no reason to.
All it will do is give me the right to vote and make me eligable for jury duty... and that my dear is just PAINFUL.
My last girlfriend of one year is Canadian, living in Burlington, On. It's all good.

I'm also still a Canadian citizen and have the same outlook as you, however, I really need to get on the ball to become a US citizen. We were told that if DH (American) should die (God forbid!) I could lose up to 65% of whatever DH leaves for the kids and I due to taxes, etc. because I'm not a US citizen. Totally stinks!

It's no secret that some think us Canuck's all live in igloos - but then this past winter we could certainly have built a few with the mounds of snow we received.

So TRUE! I've been asked several time about snow and housing, it's just too embarrassing to even mention the types of questions asked.
I'm ALWAYS tres gentle about it. I've figured something out though. As one watches the weather channels in America (CNN et al) one notices a very strange thing. Canada (and Mexico) are chroma-keyed out. (This technique is also referred to as color keying, colour-separation overlay (CSO; primarily by the BBC[1]), greenscreen, and bluescreen. It is commonly used for weather forecast broadcasts: frm Wiki.) This, in effect renders both countries, INVISABLE! So that nasty cold front from Alberta or Winnipeg or Ontario, has no point of reference for the viewer. Canada is just one big green blob. That's cold. In Canada, regardless where one is and what station one is watching, America is shown, with it's major cities, even thought the report is strictly Canada orientated. I've always found the greening out of Canada and Mexico a tad creepy. The two countries exist, but hey, they really don't matter?!! If both countries are shown, people can grow up knowing where our Canadian cites are. By chroma-keying the countries out, it's as though we are not important enough to visually recognize. Or perhaps the media powers to be think we will all become terribly confused if we view Canada and Mexico.
As it turns out, this was a big deal subject for the CBC a few years back. Thank goodness for the Internet. I can bypass telly and just go right to what I want to know. A wonderful thing, and regional maps are not showing us blocked out!
Sorry! This turned into a wee peeve session! However, if it was good enough for the CBC to notice, then I'll be brave and let this odd bit stand. Thanks for listening, and yes WOW, I know I was up in Toronto in March. Yikes it was a bad winter. Didn't miss it at all!

I'm a bit confused as to why you might be in jeopardy of losing up to 65% of whatever DH leaves for the kids due to taxes, etc., just because you're landed rather than a citizen . . .are you sure about that? That doesn't sound right to me.

Sure doesn't. Canadian taxes are no longer any concern. Since your immediate life, taxes, income just EVERYTHING is here and this is now home, why would you stand to lose anything?

I can't remember the specifics, but I believe it has to do with American inheritance taxes. I'll have to see if I can dig more info up.
