I know the earth will be here at least another 1,007 years, so I'm not real concerned.

Socialism IS evil, and capitalism IS better. Rich people have a right to be rich, until and such time as we no longer live in a free country. If they are doing something illegal, then they need to be tried and punished. If they are not, leave them alone. Personally, I'd rather be poor than rich, any day of the week. (not so poor where I was dying, but poor, nevertheless).

Preach it Judi, you go girl. "socialism is not evil" bull poopie, and it doesn't work, it has failed everywhere it is being tried.

If you aren't making what you are worth in a free economy, shame on you, you don't get it. Your labor is what powers capitalism, if you are not paid a living wage or more then it's your fault. If you don't ask you don't get.

I know the lazy, looney left wants government to do everything for you. Too bad if you are making minimum wage and your past 21, then I suggest you reevaluate your career choices, educate yourself, learn a trade.

Starting salary for a police officer for our city starts at $43,000.00 + Overtime for court appearances, which can bring up the annual pay to over $85,000.00 a year.

I know it would be a push for some of you to become post certified, be high school graduate, and more importantly pass the psych evaluation. But the money isn't too bad for daily dealing with the dregs of our society. Or hell, they are accepting convicted felons into the U.S. Army and you don't have to be a high school graduate, or have a GED, the pay for an E-1 the lowest regular pay grade is... $33,870.55 after 2 years service. However they tend to not put up with slackers and malingers, so that leaves a great number of liberals from consideration.

I also think that Global Warming is a fraud, a liberal scam to control more of our lives and businesses, and besides it gives an outlet, and a job for Al Gore. Al Gore is also a pathological liar and a total hypocrite.

I believe that only the Kool-Aid drinking liberals are the ones promoting the junk science, over their loud protestations to the opposite. Junk science and inaccurate and incomplete data is what was used to form this theory, but to try to sell it as a urgent and dire problem, is highly disingenuous to an outright lie.

The whole global warming thing has baffled me since a short time after I got over being baffled by the whole We're-On-The-Verge-Of-A-Catastrophic-Return-Of-The-Ice-Age phenomenon a few years ago.

I haven't even a clue how the debate even got started given the entire premise and basis of the global warming crowd's argument is a predictive environmental equation that consists of a few whole numbers and a few hundred unknown variables, something even the worst student in a remedial high school algebra class would know cannot provide an accurate answer. Ever.

I should have known something was up when, a while back, the folks who spent a heck of a lot of time and effort to develop the computer model that is used to predict weather conditions far into the future were preparing to unveil this revolutionary computer model and - in order to show how accurate it was - they plugged in historic weather data using the same data criteria the model would use to make future predictions.

They expected to show how the computer model, if given data from the past, would accurately predict present state of the climate.

It wasn't even close. If the very same weather and climate criteria they expected to use to predict the climate conditions of the future were plugged in using historic data, the model's predictions were so off and so wrong it was useless.

How did they react? They just fiddled with the computer models program so they could make it look as though it worked. And that's how all this nonsense got started.

I actually live what they would consider a very "green" lifestyle due in part to my not wanting to be wasteful but mostly because I'm tired of having years cut off my life every time I open a bill from a utility company or fill my car with gas.

Science cannot even predict accurately the weather two weeks from today, the balls to think they can predict 25 years into the future is just so arrogant as to be stupid.

I always though that being a weatherman [meteorologist] would be cool, in that job if you are correct 10% of the time you are a hero. Damn that's amazing.

I think people have nothing better to do so they make stuff up. Re global warming, etc. They are afraid to learn the TRUTH because then they have to say......oooops...SORRY! We were W-W-W-W-WRONG!
