oh selfish me with my broken foot and my bad manners.
see, what probably happened was i planned the whole thing, dropped the candle on my foot on purpose so that i wouldnt have to go out with the guy i had already suspected was a jerk but couldnt quite give up on yet because of his stupid sexy accent. sure looks like i got what i deserved, now doesnt it
thank goodness there are some of you here who behave impeccably at all times--you are such fine role models for the rest of us. What A Relief!

I'll admit I misworded this. Letting the dog out was mean, over the top, uncalled for and the act of a true jerk. I just think that way earlier in the day/evening, he deserved to be called and he had the right to be upset. His being a jerk does not excuse her bad manners.

If I break my foot or if I am in pain, Sheila, I have no manners. Excuse me, but I have no manners under those conditions. And I don't feel guilty about it and I never will.
To me, it is as absurd as if you were run over by a car and asked the witnesses if you look fat.
