Is NAFTA good for the common people or for the elites?

As a conservative I am in disagreement with most conservatives. Even though it looks like NAFTA is making it easier for all of us including Mexico and Canada it has a flaw that violate free market natural forces. There was no NAFTA when U.S. was starting to form their businesses and corps. People started from the bottom up without assistance from the government. NAFTA is a contract of corps abroad and rich people in Mexico and Canada to make it easier to this companies to establish themselves on top but the common people that try to establish new small businesses with the intention of growing up are going to face resistance from this already established big business. So NAFTA is helping the elite fortifies themself on the top.

I think the problem with NAFTA is that Canada and Mexico subsidize companies that compete with US business. An example of this is the Canadian logging industry that cut the throats of US logging and closed so many saw mills in my area.

This is exactly the problem I see; the government subsidizing companies that even if it helps the economy, goes against free market because right now is a certain industries these governments are subsidizing and later will be certain companies against other small companies. So government direct intervention in the economy is what allows the elites to position themselves in priviledge position. Very dangerous, I may say.
