I sing the song

Once I was a little girl and sung the songs we all have heard.

But now I am women tore between the child I once knew.

Growing old has had its joys but things have seemed to come unglued.

What victory laps have I won.

What can I say to help you know?

What sit inside me remains untold.

The words of kindness that you ingest are waiting for the process at best.

My eyes look upon you with great intense.

For you the time has turned around.

I sing the songs we all have heard.

The butterflies the mocking birds can only sing from what they learn.

For you I sing from a child of pure and true from the soul.

For now I sing a song that only you can hear.

Although it’s been broken and tore and tossed around just like a toy,

It’s pure and true and my heart now sings for you.

You all are so wonderful with your kind words. I write poems and have been for a very long time. You have no idea how wonderful you all make me feel to know that you like them. I am working on gettig them all posted but there are so many and more that comes everyday.
