Dallas .. I was "poking fun at the industry" for the all in one receiver ..that was a " LOL " kindah remark..BUT ..my guess is someone will put it all together ..
I don't normally put Sat-Rad in the van. However, when my wife and I go 150 miles north to " oldies and moldies country radio region" to our summer shack .. I take the unit from the house and hook it up in the shack.
I just hate yappers and commercials ..so I pay $10/mo and hear 99% music.
Howard Stern is a dork ..Martha is a dah'weeb .. and I don;t listen to them anyhow.
Overall ..the merger means, that "two money loosers" in a Sat-Rad industry can combine and "maybe make a profit" so they don't piss off investors and the whole thing goes away entirely.

it does not bother me because i simply refuse to pay for radio. If it is not free its not for me.
Throw your radio away: the music is not free.
Its cost is built into the goods you buy...commercials, remember?

What's that old saw about doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results?
Mergers make sense when two mildly profitable but fundamentally sound competitors with complementary strengths do it. However, Loser + Loser seldom equals Winner. Were the two companies in that position pre-merger?
If not, they're odds-on to tank.

WOW he is still around??? Remember those days fondly!!
Did Sirius lose their shirt with overpaying that idiot Stern?
I remember the days of Stern and Imus fighting out morning radio in NYC.....ahhh those were the days.......
I think both companies "were and are" loosing their shirt ..hence the merger, just to survive ..
Yup ..Old Old Cousin Brucy is still hanging in their ... hey, hey has to make a living somehow ..LOL LOL ..and his "chatter is still unforgiving"..LOL .. I listen to him out of nostalgia
