Asperger's and INTP

One thing that I've found interesting is that all of the people I know that have Asperger's fall in the INTP group of personalities. I haven't been officially diagnosed with Asperger's yet, but I suspect that I have it.

My IQ has been measured in between 132 to 136 depending on the tests. My wife doesn't have Asperger's, but her IQ is between 134 to 136. We both work in technical fields. I do database programming and she works in electronics.

Part of the reason I joined TBD is to get away from the juvenile social networking. I can't stand MySpace, and can barely tolerate Facebook. LinkedIn is tolerable, because I'm not constantly bombarded to do wasteful stuff. I'm just don't like all the inane crap that passes for entertainment at those sites.

I've been on TBD for about 15 minutes, and I'm loving it already. Wow, adult conversations that are actually interesting!

Hi Hector - I am new to this web site, but I found this group and had to comment on your post. My husband has Aspergers (that is why I joined this group) and is also INTP! I have to admit that I got a laugh over of the fact that the Aspergers group has 40+ people but of those, only about 5 have actually posted anything and for the most part, the group is very quiet. How predictable is that :)??
