But, at least at that time, his acting abilities were awful! Same for "Apollonia" (whatever her real name was?).
Had to giggle when you mentioned Morris Day & The Time! Yep, he was a hoot in the movie. Didn't know he was still playing! Cool!

For me, Prince falls into a broad category of artists that I respect and appreciate, but for the most part don't resonate in my depths. The guy's musicianship is awesome, and the show is entertaining, and I wore out the grooves of 1999. He's a hall of famer for sure - in fact I think I need to go download some of my Prince faves - all of a sudden "Raspberry Beret" is jangling around my mind. But does he make my desert island list? Probably not...
