I think it is important to separate the deed from the doer. The Scriptures main theme is "people matter."People are hurt...
I agree with and abide by the 3 times principle. If a person, co-worker, friend, or loved one I am in relationship with exhibits the same troubling behavior, and/or continues to make the same poor choices where it adversely affects me, then I feel it is my obligation to myself to take the "tough love" approach to send the message I do not agree/ will not comply, and "love" them from a distance. Making this choice is loving myself as well. Then, I look for the positives in it all, such as loving from a distance, loving and honoring myself, and learning from others mistakes.
