Interesting comments here. I've been a Christian for twenty some years. When I accepted Christ I became involved with a group of young Christians who spent all their time studying and discussing end times theology.
We read books by Hal Linsey, Salem Kirbin and others and argued about which one was right. I can remember discussions about the exact time the Rapture would take place and whether Christians would experience all, half or none of the Tribulation. Then, one day I realized that we were spending all of our time and energy trying to figure out when Christ would return and no time trying to figure out how to live for Christ today.
I also realized that the end times prophets (in my opinion) have it all wrong. Jesus clearly stated that no man can now when he will return.
Having said that, I think Christ's return has to be near simply because I can't imagine the world getting much worse. Although I can remember saying that same thing twenty years ago.
I hope I'm alive when he returns but I know that I will be alive, either here on earth or with him in Heaven and when he does return, He's going to take us with him and gather up all his children.
Won't that be a grand moment?!

Lobo if I send you a Request for me to add you to my Friends List on TBD will you Accept it by just clicking on the Accept button ?
Also I want to thank you for your input on this great thread that Ordinary Girl started on the Christians By Choice Group.
I feel that we can learn so much from each other and also grow Spiritually by sharing our thoughts with one another as Spiritual Food.
I'll chech back later to see if you have answered my question to you concerning allowing me to add you to my Friends List on TBD.
