I used to try to discuss this issue with other parents and teachers when my children were younger. For at least 20 years now, in Canada, man-induced global warming has been taught in schools as an indisputable fact. (This coming from teachers that can't tell an acid from a base.)

My reaction to this forced, mass spread of misinformation was frustration and anger and I made sure that my children were better informed about the power and forces of the natural world and the universe around us. My daughter took an interest in astronomy at an early age and now she tells me about some legitimate close calls this planet has had.

Anyways, lib-left, mass-media-following automaton teachers aside (guess I'm still carrying a grudge), I finally came to the conclusion that many others have realized all along. Follow the money.

During Galileo's time it was follow the power- same thing I suppose.

One thing that the global warming preachers fail to appreciate ( or find it financially imperative not to appreciate) is that we do not endorse pollution of the planet just because we find their argument for manmade global warming to be insufficient.

Now that I'm all warmed up- think I'll go for a bike ride to cool down.
