You can never have enough friends

Sometimes I just want to connect with another human being outside of work or family. I hear you. At our age friends are hard to find and harder to keep. I would love to have friends who check in with me. I'd love to have friends who get to know me like a pen pal. Who am I? I am a 64-year-old woman. I am a case manager with elderly and disabled. I love my work, I am amazed with my clients and their varied experiences and the strength of the human spirit. I am a quilter at the moment. I have a wicked sense of humor. I am a survivor. I tend to be pretty non-judgemental. Who are you?

Dear Dragonflyer,

Good afternoon, I am sorry I didn't get your message sooner, I was finishing my xmas shopping so I could bet the crowd.

I am done, Believe it or not now I just have to wrap them. I think your quilt is beatiful. My cousin quilts and her work is also amazing. As for me I do Native American Bead work. It's something like quilting but with beads. I am almost 50 I was a designer for an Engineering Company but I don't work right now. I am also a Survivor and still working on getting back to health. Thanks for writing and welcome to the group! Please keep in touch and say Hi anytime. Of course you can writ and talk about anything you want thats why I started this group.

Dragonflyer, love your quilt & your name too, lol! I too, am a quilter, among other things! Lovely quilt, by the way!

A little about me, as this is my first post here, lol,

I too, am looking for more friends. I am a homebody now, married to my best friend & soulmate for 18 yrs now! I am 56 at the moment, & I have to agree, it seems the older we get, the harder it seems to make good friends, & keep them, even! Moving here 11 years ago, has been wonderful, but not knowing another soul here, at first, didn't help. I have continually tried to make new friends since moving here, even when I worked for seven years, but have quit trying so hard anymore, & seem to have better luck online, like here, talking to others & making friends this way. Kind of sad, in some ways, makes you feel like, at least locally, people are too busy to make new friends, or have enough, & don't even care to invite more friendships into their lives. Even tried becoming friends with two different wives, of friends of my husbands, & even that didn't work. They were totally different from me & I ended being the one that got hurt, by both them, so I told him no more of that! So, I recently found this TBD site, & am slowly joining some of the groups where I feel I have something in common, & something to add, hopefully! Nice to be hear, even thought it seems a bit quiet at the moment, lol...
