I'm still looking forward to them and am currently enjoying them. Michael Phelps' effort in the 400 IM was simply phenomenal, breaking the world record by 1 1/2 seconds. Dara Torres gave it a good go in the anchor leg of the 4 x 100 free relay but the U.S. just couldn't match the Dutch. I have also had a chance to see Kari Walsh and Misty May Treanor continue to dominate in beach volleyball - talk about a dynasty!

Guess everyone is so busy watching the Olympics that they have no time to write about it. [LOL]
Looks like we'll have one more week of Michael Phelps, as he makes the rounds of the talk shows, then he'll crawl back into the bottle for another four years. At least he'll be able to afford the anonyminity. Not to take anything away from his performance, which was incredible but is anybody else getting tired of this? Would he be covered as extensively if he wasn't American?
So far, the most impressive thing I've seen was, believe it or not, Usain Bolt in the quarter finals of the hundred meters. If you missed it, he took off and sprinted the first 50 meters; at that point, he was so far ahead, he essentially stopped running and still turned in a 9.92!! The color commentator was flat-out flabbergasted (as was I). To me, this was more impressive than the finsals (where he set a world record). Do you realize that 9.92 was the world record in 1988 and this guy equalled it, even though he eased way, way off at the halfway point?
The one sport that I haven't seen as much as I would like is, believe it or not, the cycling. Don't ask me why but I find this incredibly interesting to watch, both in the individual heats and the team pursuit.
Other than Michael Phelps, what has been the most interesting thing you've seen in the Games?
