I'm a little sensitive tonight,Walter.As I said in a number of posts,I found out I will never,ever get medicare.

I can't qualify for medicade.My insurance company robbed me,saying I had a pre-existing condition after being treated for over a year,and it wasn't pre-existing.They left me hanging with outstanding bills that they didn't pay,but took my premiums.

Now,I have 2 pre-existing conditions,I'm 50 and need insurance,like that's going to happen.

I am trying to be as positive in life,but I feel like I keep getting run over,over and over.

I'm just tired.

there is a huge job market here for people willing to do the jobs that either are the 'dirty jobs' or otherwise low paying jobs. we can ship the business off shore - which is already happening - or pay workers to move here with the idea that at least a portion of the money is spent in country. look at it as commuting.

the u.s was founded by english immigrants and their indentured servants. back in those days, servants did their time, and were given citizenship automatically and in some cases a plot of land.

i see immigrant amnesty not as a bad thing but a throwback to what made this country great in the first place.

immigrants do pay taxes, unless massa is paying them illegally under the table and breaking laws of our fine country, immigrants pay income tax, sales tax, personal property tax, pay for workman's comp insurance.

don't give me this song and dance about not paying taxes. how about corporations that make billions and don't pay taxes?

I think this country's biggest problem is us. We complain about govt and all that includes but we don't stand up and make "them hear us" I think people need to rise up and say " That's it, that's enough bullsh*t and make all politicians accountable to we the people. I think that is why Obama is so appealing to so many people. He is saying what the people want to hear and hopefully he can make some good things happen.

Of course the number of illegals in a state certainly can break the bank. Many work for cash and don't pay taxes. They take up low cost housing intended for citizens. They fill the prisons and schools and compete with citizens for jobs. They use emergency rooms for serious and not so serious conditions, closing many where the population of illegals is high. Why should we inbreach people that have taken an unfair advantage over others waiting in line? The world is full of poor countries. We are having trouble enough trying to keep our heads above water. I'm not bitter, I'm realistic Ca. is broke and broken.
