Hi Theresa, I'm Jackie. I am using Visual Studio 2008, working on my own trying to learn it. It's uphill all the way. I'd love to see some of your work! Could you PM me your sites?

I'm embarrassed to say this but I still use FrontPage. Since they never came out with another version after 2003, I'm still using it. It works for me basically and I do some of my own html and jazz it up with javascripts.

I have been afraid to make the leap to a different program. How difficult is it to transition from FrontPage to something else? Is Visual Studio the logical program to transition to? I would very much appreciate some help on this so I can come out of the closet.

I started doing web development as a hobby a few years back. Unfortunately, it grew into much more than expected.

Can't quite call myself a real web developer, because I never took any formal training, and there's much still left for me to learn -- just pretty much taught myself (HTML, Java, PHP, a little Flash and now learning action scripting).

Don't think I've done too bad of a job developing sites thus far, but recently I've run into some really strange quirks as it relates to browser compatibility, the effects of different graphic drivers, and using nested tables with CSS.

What are some of the unsual quirks you've run across or have experienced while developing a site?

I am EXTREMELY excited about talking with you and TheInquiringEye about this topic. I look forward to getting in touch.

hand coding with notepad or such is so much easier than using frontpage, dreamweaver or others. there are several free developer programs out there that really help and are intuitive.
