I teach in the departments of Anthropology and Public Health (I'm a medical anthropologist). Most of what I study is how social forces (poverty, discrimination, etc.) impacts people's health.
I think I had only a couple of words longer than 8 letters ;)

Medical anthropology - YES! Topics are forming in my head! Okay, will try to contain myself and limit my topics, but working in the nonprofit sector with youth and the elderly, it's my job to find the funding for our programs that address how social forces impact individual health.
Again - welcome!

I recently (2007) graduated with a Masters Degree in Arts Administration. I live in Las Vegas and I'm looking to start the next 'act' in my life's drama. I am interested in finding fulfilling work in the Performing Arts or a non-profit organization. I have 3 grown sons and a granddaughter.

I'm Donald, 48, born and raised in Los Angeles and now living in Oakland, CA. I'm currently the Director of Total College Prep (TCP), an academic coaching service that helps college-bound high school students manage the college application and admissions process. In addition to TCP, for the last five years, I've been a life coach, and I love helping people figure things out and get what they want. I've also done some teaching (math, psychology, Business communications) and it seems like I'm always tutoring someone in Algebra. :)
Let's see, what else... Well, I'm into wine, music (all kinds), travel (so far I've visited Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Ghana, Bahamas, St. Lucia, Martinique, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica) and really good novels (got any recommendations?).
I joined TBD to network, and so far I've met lots of wonderful, interesting people.
Thanks to Goodnes for creating this group and saving me the trouble of skimming over every AA profile on TBD!
