It's happened three times in succession and I am pleased. We are set to sit down as a family again today as I have a pork casserole in the slow cooker! It's not always possible, although the kids do eat in the same room we are in, even if we are eating later. Anyway, my point is the prayer said before we chow down. It's read either by my 7 year old who has it in his head, or my 10 year old who reads from a card:
God made us a family. We need one another, we love one another.
We work together, we play together, we worship together.
Together we use God's word, together we grow in Christ. Together we love all men, together we serve our God. Together we hope for heaven. These are our hopes and ideals. Help us attain them, O God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
This came back from the kid's P.S.R, (parish school of religion!), and is an awesome prayer just before we eat!
