I have experienced so much shame, Lord.

So much disgrace.

So much humiliation.

Sometimes I want to hide myself from life.

And sometimes I want to numb myself to life.

Sometimes I want to disappear completely.

Thank you for your promise.

It calms my fears and helps me to stop hiding.

It helps me to stop covering up.

Thank you that I can open my heart to you and not suffer shame.

Thank you for the people in my life who accept me and do not shame me.

Protect me, Lord, from shame.

Amen.

Daily Praise: August 6, 2008

I praise You, my dear Lord. I praise You, my adorable King. I praise You, my wonderful Lord. I have great need of You and I'll praise You all the day long. I'll delight myself in praising You day and night.

I love You! I need You. I adore You! I seek You and I desire You. I want to praise You and give You thanks for how wonderful You've been to me.

Prayer For The Hurting~~ed

Heavenly Father, even King David hurt and lodged a complaint before You in prayer. Psa 42:5 "Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation." He went on to say that he shall again praise You because he knew You were his salvation. I have not arrived there yet.

Lord, I can't get to the praise realm when all I feel is sorrow and depression. I need a divine touch from You. To say I am disquieted and in turmoil would only scratch the surface. My emotional wounds are deep. My pain and unrest are unbearable. I cannot find the release of this situation.

I shouldn't turn to You last as I have. I should have stopped all activity and wrestled with You in prayer as Jacob did to get his blessing. I know there is no hope outside of Your divine comfort. I have sought people and advice. I have cried and even inwardly screamed. I have done everything humanly possible to release this burden to You. I now declare that this situation is Yours. I give it to You and I will not take it back. Jesus said to come unto Him and He would give rest. I rest in Jesus, the Master of my life, and I ask for realization and evidence that I will be restored, and made whole again, and move on from this dark valley.

When unbelief creeps in, alert me. When doubts assail me, speak to me. When I desire to take this burden back, prevent me. When the devil rears his ugly head at me, protect me. This sorrow is now Yours. Heal me Lord, and let me go on with my life. Give me the ability to praise You and know the fullness of joy You have promised believers. I pray through Jesus' name, the One who died for us so that we might have life. Amen

Daily Praise: August 10, 2008

Oh Jesus, You're so kind and tender. I know that You have compassion on me. I've seen how many times, when I was desperate for help or for a token of Your love or encouragement, You came through and did something special, some little thing which meant so much to me. It showed me that You really do care about the tiniest aspect of my life.

Fill me to overflowing--not just so that I can hold Your love within myself, but so I can give it out. Help me to overflow on others with that same love. I want to give them the love You've given me.

Jesus, help me not to be selfish with Your love. I want to share it and give it and pour it out and live it, and I know this is only possible if You do it through me. You've been so unselfish with me! You've been so generous, so kind and understanding. I love You!

Let me be an instrument of Jesus' Peace.

Let me walk in love. Let the Light of Jesus shine thru me. Amen

Lord, I know about being an orphan.

I know about abandonment.

Thank you for understanding my fear of separation.

Thank you for understanding my need for your presence.

Come.

Be present today with me.

I want to spend time with you.

Amen.

Daily Praise: August 16, 2008

My dear, wonderful Jesus, I love You so much! Thank You for this new morning, with brand-new mercy, brand-new love, brand-new forgiveness, help and strength. You're so wonderful to me. You're so patient with me and my shortcomings and my carnal weaknesses. Thank You for being so kind to me, and not looking at all my faults, not condemning me for the times that I haven't drawn close to You like I should.

Now I lay those things from the past aside--my mistakes, my failures, even my spiritual laziness--and I just want to love You. Please forgive me, Jesus, for the times when I haven't loved You. I know that You've always loved me. You've done so many wonderful things for me. You've helped me through times when I thought I wasn't going to make it. And now, instead of remembering the pain, those times are only a memory of victory and triumph over fear and doubt, worry and failure. Things that looked insurmountable are now just landmarks of the past where You brought me through to victory.

Father, teach me to respond to people with a gentle answer, rather than harsh words and actions. Teach me wisdom and patience and help me to respond in love and forgiveness. In Jesus' name ...

Daily Praise: August 24, 2008

Jesus, thank You for Your gift of prophecy. This gift is a fascinating one, though at first glance it seemed rather odd. But the more that I use it to communicate with You, the more I realize that it is so much more than I thought in the beginning.

It is like a special, magical door into the realm of endless possibilities, beautiful and fitting word pictures, golden words and jewels from Your lips. Passing through this door brings discoveries of every kind: from the joys of Heaven to the reassurance of Your comfort; from the wonder of Your love to explanations of the mysteries of life; from encouragement after disappointments to clear guidance when I'm seeking Your will.

This gift of prophecy is so interesting. Every time I use it with a believing and expectant attitude, there is no telling what wonders will be revealed to me.

Father, I have felt anxious about all that is happening. Help me to use wisdom in my day-to-day activities. I do trust you. Help me to trust you more and to keep my mind fixed on you. And I thank you for the peace that you have promised. In Jesus' name ...

Daily Praise

Thank You, Jesus, for the peace that You give. You're so close when I'm sometimes so far away. When I'm often so distant, off in my own little world, You remain faithful. Any moment, whenever I stop whatever I'm doing and look up into Your beautiful temple, You're always there.

You're always ready and willing to pick me up, to brush me off, to clean me up, to give me Your wonderful peace, Your wonderful glow, Your wonderful love that restores my hope, heals my heart, takes away all the hurts and gives me the courage to go back out into the world. You give me tranquility of spirit.

Thank you Heavenly Father for being my source. You provide for me. You love me unconditionly. You forgive me. You bless me. You give me favor. You are my source for everything.
