Elizabeth--I suggest contacting any reputable Civil War author. They could get you in touch with those in the business to help you market it. Pelican Books is a good publisher--Southern to the core, like you and gives opportunities for cash-straspped authors to get their stuff in print. I know they have a web site, just Google them. I need to sell the booksPosted: Nov 6, 07 4:38pmThank you for your answer. These are the basics. I translated the unpublished diaries of a Civil War soldier from New Jersey. This is kind of a big deal because I am Southern to the bone. Yet it changed my life. This man died as a POW in a little town in SC not far from where I live about 2 weeks before the end of the war. I became a bit obsessed with his movements throughout the war and how he expressed himself. So, My ex-husband (who was from NJ) said I was in love with ghost. Then a book began, "Diary of a Ghost." The main character who is dealing with some deep personal issues begins to transcribe a diary from a New Jersey soldier. Amazingly he appears to her and takes her back to the prisons and the battles that he has seen. Each one of these episodes is based on the reality of the real soldier. I believe it is historicaly accurate and entertianing but can find no takers in the traditional way. I would love to sell the transalations of the diary as well as the book. The diaries do not belong to me. The book does, but the web hoster I chose was miserable and I am not loaded with cash. I am just not sure where to go from here.......... Help!
