Can we not get above this type of gutter politics. I enjoy a good debate. Debate Ideas and Agendas but do it with respect. I don't support Mr. McCain but I do respect his service. We should discuss what we think will help our country. It does no one any good to slander these candidates. Lets get away from the swiftboat campaigns and get back to informative civil discourse.
Or not.
Same crap different day.

Amen Bull. It is really a distracter and irrelevant (for either side) to stray from the issues and perform character assassination. It defocuses from the real issues, encourages emotional rather than rational decisions and is a propaganda tactic I abhore. Also, it is usually an embellishment or an outright lie.
The only personal issue I have is that I would like to see a candidate with humble roots. I dont care if they have since achieved wealth. I just want the person in charge to have experienced more than a "silver spoon" birthright.

It Here's an article that appeared in the Washingon Post this week - Comments and all. Some people may just want to know a little bit more about the guy. Then they can draw their own conclusions, choose to let it lie or maybe even ask more questions for themselves. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/08/22/politics/washingtonpost/main4373626.shtmld
