You can blame me for Tag Abuse, also. When I start a discussion and they insist on a "tag," I dimwittingly slap any and all available tags to my new discussion. I guess I'm trying to convert the Over40Sex group and TheWritersGuild (or whatever they call it) to my discussion, and I have committed another TBD crime.
Forgive me. I will be more prudent in the future.
I'll go start a new discussion called "Stupid Tagless Idiot Girl Turns Self In."

i'm sorry. i can't stop laughing now. i was mad when hog first brought this up, cuz the political nature of it got my irish up, but truck, you showed me. and all karen has to do is step into the room and i fall out of my chair.
i've been guilting of adding everything from avocados to latter day saints tags to my discussions, so i really shouldn't even be talking. i'll leave now.

In all seriousness, though, Hogback's right: throwing in random tags lowers the quality of people's search and browse experience on the site. There are going to be a lot of changes coming that will make tags much more relevant to your daily TBD experience. The same goes for your interests, by the way. Soon they'll all be one in the same.

Ok, I've gotta admit...
Until I read Robyn's post today, I didn't even realize the import of tags!
I've noticed them, how they seemed to have grown, how unrelated some of them seem to be, but since I didn't really know why I cared...
Did I mention that I'm blonde?
