Same here. And then I'm told that I'm so boring because I never want to go out.
I have to admit, I've had some interesting times going out with her.

Yeah. She says I never have fun when we go out because I always seem "on edge." It's because I have to watch her and try to guess what she might do, or anticipate the crash so I have her in the car before she passes out. Not fun, but interesting, as you say.
There's a Chinese curse that goes something like, "May you live in interesting times."

Seems I am also the sober boring one. I just have no desire to be around people who are drinking anymore. My wife however has found a solution to that, she just drinks at home by herself. Anyone that visits, (my friends) are immediately forced into having a drink with her.
Unfortunately the drinking, both in the media and what I am subjected to at home has left me with a very sour opinion on those who drink.
I can certainly relate to those of you that have the same issues. Haven't had to re-key locks yet but I have had to collect my wife up off the ground at a party, or pick up the table and contents that has been knocked over.
Interestingly enough though, when we are out and she sees someone very drunk she will make negative comments on their behavior. Scary how the alcohol can hide that from the person drinking.

New to tb as well as this site. Not new the victimization the drug alcohol creates however. Everything about it is a lie. And the advertisers are the absolute worst. With an "Event" ( CDC term defining bad reactions to a drug) of like 10% I wonder if the FDA would approve of it if it had to pass those standards. How long do you think they would allow a drug that has a side affect that kills people that don't even use it to be sold???
I sense that that the alcohol industry, at least as far as advertising is concerned is headed the same way cigarette commercials went. The "Drink Responsibly" escape clause they now insert and is getting bigger gives me that feeling.
Then again, ya can't legislate morality or diseases.
Hey y'all!

Really....who should be behind the wheel after even one drink. Admit it....people drink to dull the edges....the whole goal is to escape reality and soften the angst. At what point is a line of coke or a puff from a bong any different than a large martini?
Does anyone really feel good about themselves mentally or physically after they tie one on. I don't think so.
