Thanks for picking this back up, Ken!! I think we've all been through much more since we ended here. godlylady and I have worked on "causes" out on the religion thread that have been quite challenging. So, yes, let's continue and "discuss".
Ken is right, godlylady, and you do have a right to present your interpretation, so please come back!!!
Ken, I've missed you! Please start threads over here should you wish. I have started another group that boothby, jacquin, etc. can use more for controversial "debate" as they see fit. Right now it's called, "To Be or Not To Be". Our first thread is on what to call the group and finding an appropriate pic.

Wouldn't you agree that any translation is a "generation" or more removed from the original "tongue" or pen of the inspired authors?
Have you also forgotten that many of the texts were not in Hebrew, at all, but in Greek?
So, what do you mean by "The KIng James Bible is the true translation from the Hebrew language to the English language"?
Define "true translation"...

He can blot us from the book of life, we can backslide and not go to heaven so we have to be very careful. God wants to keep us the gift is free but we must maintain and take care of our gift of salvation. Why would revelation make such a big deal over the churches if God wasn't going to do anything about thier behavior anyway?

"Eternal Security can be defined as the believer's unbreakable relationship with the integrity of God. It remains unbreakable because of who and what God is, not who and what we are. It is what God does for us in salvation that makes this relationship permanent. Salvation is a gift of God and at the moment of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, God gave us at least forty grace gifts that are irrevocable. He cannot and will not ever take these gifts away, ROM 11:29. We cannot negate them; no other creature can negate them; even God Himself cannot negate them, ROM 8:38-39. We are kept and guarded by the power of God, 1PE 1:5."

My understanding of romans 11:29 is that Paul is refering to Israel even though there will be life after rapture he will always remember Israel because of his covenant with them. As far as romans 8:38-39 these are things that cannot seperate us from him Only ourselves can cause seperation. Peter 1:5 says time cannot destroy salvation, but once again we can through our acts.Revelations 3:5 says He that overcometh....I will not blot out his name out of the book of life. so reason only tells us that if we don't over come our names will be blotted out of the book of life.
Also he tells the church at Sardis that there are a few names which have not defiled their garments and they shall walk with me in white for they are worthy....what about the others who did walk right then defiled themselves? I have other verses but will have to study up on them. The bible must be eaten as a whole good to the tongue but bitter to the stomach.
