Stinker...I STILL have not heard a single word from you about the actual issues in this election. I have asked you repeatedly why you think McCain and Palin are so great, BASED ON THE ISSUES, and you've got nothing, just like your candidates. Talk about empty suits, they (and you) apparently have no stance on any of the issues. Face it, you're on autopilot and have no clue where the plane's going. Show me the flight plan. You say Dem's brains have been sucked out, but I have yet to see you demonstrate a cranial presence on here. At least we are talking about real issues...you are just spewing mean-spirited smart-alec remarks. You claim there's substance there...let's see it. We've all been waiting...Like I said yesterday, let's see the walk that goes with all that talk. If you don't, I will assume you are incapable and are therefore not worth responding to.

Chris, she's proberly one of those middle-class people McCain talks about. You know those poor people who make less then $5,000,000.00 a year!

Fine suit yourself. It's not my job to educate you. I have listened to Obama, Biden, McCain and Sarah. I read his proposed economic plan and I said it would be a disaster for America, two days later the Wall Street Journal wrote that... "Obama's economic plan for America would be totally disasterious."

McCain and Sarah will not run out on Iraq, leaving them to a civil war.

Please take your pick... Which one would you like to comment on?

- Should the media stay away from the lives of Political family members?

- Did Governor Sarah Palin know that her daughter was pregnant?

- Was John McCain told about this before he announced Governor Sarah Palin for the VP position?

- Does it matter that that her daughter is expecting to have a child, is 17 year old, and not married?

- Do you think that we have “fair and balanced” media coverage in this country?

I'll start with the first question: Yes the media should probably stay away from the personal lives of political family members, but they never will; Yet when someone is running for a top political office, the public does deserve to know some basic facts about the candidate. It's sad that the media never seems to care who they hurt along the way, in this case a sensitive 17 year old dealing with the most major event in her life so far....physically as well as emotionally.

The next two questions have been adequately answered. As to the next:

Does it matter that her daughter is expecting to have a child, is 17 year old, and not married?

How in this day and age one could even ask this question is beyond me, you may as well ask: What of Bill Clinton's little episode of adultery or Ted Kennedy's covered up crime that most would spend a life term in jail for, and most of us have read about our political leaders, including McCain and JFK, having lived at one time or another in sexual sin. Does anyone care anymore? I think most don't, it helps to ease their own conscience. No, let's not pick on a young girl, I'm sure her burden is hard enough to bear. At least she's taking responsibility and not aborting the baby and the father is responsible enough for his actions to be marrying her. I don't care if he is a teenager, he's showing more guts than many twice to three times his age!

Besides as another poster said, it is Sarah's daughter who made the mistake, not Sarah. You can train a child up in the way they should go, but it is up to them to make the right choices.

NO, we do NOT have fair and balanced media coverage. Any fool knows that. The press have made Obama into some kind of Greek god or savior of all the nation's woes. All he has to allure the public is charisma, a pretty smile and lots and lots and lots of $$$$$$$$$$$ behind his campaign. (btw, Do you ever wonder where all that money comes from?) And liberals are always bawling about all the money the conservatives have...while they are supporting the "poor", underprivileged "minorities"...hogwash!

To be honest, I couldn't fathom how any in this country could put such a professed anti- American figure as Obama in the position of a presidential candidate. I wasn't too excited about McCain, but at least he stands against murder of the unborn and stands up for our troops who have made the sacrifice to fight and die for our country. Now that Sarah's in the spotlight though, I have a renewed respect for John McCain and I can only say.....Go Sarah!!

Forty years ago, with the Tet offensive and such, all the media, whatever the persuasion, was reporting negatively about Vietnam. I guarantee you that some newspapers would never have been called liberal by anyone who read them. Yet, they all pretty much hammered Robert McNamara's policy in Vietnam, which wasn't much of a policy to begin with.

A presidential election came up in 1968, with all Hell raising in SE Asia, and on the home front with the protests, assassinations, and all. If the so-called liberal press was painting such a horrible picture back then, just who benefited from such coverage in the election?

It was in all the papers.

I just joined this site and find it very interesting and, after reading some comments, moving.

As for Sarah Palin, what a breath of fresh air. She is the spark this country needs and honestly, I feel Congress is dreading coming to Washington. Her speech was inspirational, funny, serious, heart warming, informative, and revealing.

As for the questions, when I step into the voting booth, I vote for the person based on my feelings of that person. I admire her for having her daughter's boyfriend at the convention which shows that she is a caring Mother. It is not for us to judge whether or not that her daughter is pregnant, that is for only one Supreme Being.

At first, I thought Obama sounded good. But after hearing Sarah Palin speak, Obama may need to go back and re-think his position on a lot of issues. Ever wonder why he strongly says leave the families out of this election? Look up his bio and you will find out.
