What the hell are you talking about? You only want to fight battles with those who believe as you do? Gosh is that a totally vapid statement or... Maybe that is why liberals don't have a clue about why we have to fight wars against people who actually support those who attack us.

I know the Obamacon are panicking now, they are dragging out the "RACIST CARDS". That is so transparent and thin.
My request for politeness absolutely has nothing to do with whomsoever one chooses to vote in the next election. It has everything to do with being polite and respectful of others. Racism is evil. Even the smell of it is evil.
My grandfather told me if I couldn't say something nice about someone not to say anything at all. Living in the deep South pre-Civil Rights taught me a lot about the injustices of racism. My values are not based on politics or political parties but on ethics and morals.
We will never be the society Lincoln envisioned if we continue to practice even subtle racism.
As a country and a people, we can be better.

Care to elaborate on who attacked us? Hint - It was not Iraq. This is a war based on a lie about nonexistent wmd's and NOT a mission from God as Sarah Palin has stated. Do you have any idea how many innocent people have been killed in this mess?

It's a shame that Obama is part black, McCain is old, and Palin is female, otherwise we could give our opinions without being called a name (e.g., racists, age discriminator, sexist).
So, if we disagree with someone, are we to be called one of the above names? or worse? Why can't we disagree on the merit of the issue, comment, or our own personal worldview? Why does it have to mean we're bigoted? And who determines our motives, "subtle" racism vs. "blatant" racism?
