I think most people would agree that people are people. Sometimes we make to big a deal about things.
Having a similar baseline of values is important.

Exactly. I'd like to change back to my maiden name after my divorce, except that my kids look so little like me that my last name is all the more important a link. I still remember a new pediatrician, upon reading the form I'd filled out, asking me if I knew all that because the *birth mother* had informed me. I was appalled! I told him that, no, *I* was the birth mother (goddammit!) and I knew the details of their births because I had experienced it for myself, thank you very much!

it's nice to see clifford raise that question and TBD members respond with positive answers.
i don't care about race either.
but...
sorry to be a party pooper, but i think i do care about "which cultures", regardless of race. i am careful and respectful. does that make sense?
i give you an example. i think so many Indian women (that's South Asia India) are just gorgeous. but would i date with them? that will be very difficult, culturally... had it not been culturally an issue, i would have gone wild in India... sure, there are few exceptions, of course, but it's still a bit too difficult.

to quote a wise and wonderful man "You should judge a person not by the colour of their skin, but rather by the content of their character" or something like that. There is only one race - the human one, so would I date a three-eyed nine-legged alien? Maybe.

Most definitely! First it is her personality of course; when I say that I mean her body. lol I am attracted to woman of all races. I had a date once when I was in the Army with a very attractive black woman. But when I didn't treat the relationship like it was taboo she moved on.
There are so many beautiful women out there from all over the world, it seems a shame to limit them to your own race.
