I, too, just got home from a night out. It was a fun night---went to a gallery crawl with a friend, then met up with a group to celebrate a birthday and went to a dueling piano bar. Not really into going to bars, but it was fun people-watching and singing along to some of the songs. Fortunately, nothing to answer to the "what shit happened" question. I haven't been on this site for long, and it surprised me to come home at 2 a.m. and want to check to see what's happening here. I guess that's sort of what you're talking about. I'm here alone, but wish there was someone here to end the day with.

Great! Dancin witchoo. Nohing like a great night out! I was at a bar where I know everyone, but everyone I know wasn't there - surreal... still, the band was good, and it was my buddy's turn to drive so i got loose... great blues band, but I might have danced with the wrong girl... the bartender there always gives me a really deep pour of hornitos, patron, anything top shelf...

Sorry i missed it...I actually went to bed early & was off TBD at a decent time. That means that I didn't go out & I did all of my saying earlier.

yes, I was just thinking early this morning, as the thunder rolled in & it started raining, how nice it would be to have someone next to me... -sigh-

aahhh..now I feel like I missed something. I started coming down w/a flu yesterday! I don't ever hardly ever get sick and here it is the beginning of Sept and I have a flu.

I spent all evening on the phone and then watched "The Mexican" and went to bed. Gak...

I went to a singles mixer hosted by a free online dating site (plenty of fish) and over 100 people showed. I went with the hostess and used that excuse to chat up everyone so I could give them a fishy sticker (availability tag). Talked with 3 men, one 53 and funny as hell, one 40 who was quiet and then asked me to dance before giving me a kiss on the cheek to say goodnight and then a 30 year old was talking to me throughout the night. I'm a bit old for that but he was a cutie pie. He asked for my number, what the hell, right? Got home after 3 and zonked out. I'm slow today but didn't drink much at all so I'm feeling pretty happy.

I'm home... way early. But a great night. there aren't a lot of posts here, I think this might just become my own personal diary.

I went out alone tonight, to a restaraunt owned by a friend of mine... I often go there, have dinner at the bar. A bachelor's life. But the place is getting so popular, like tonight, I can't get a seat at the bar.

So I drive to another joint were there is some great food, and the only seat open at the bar is next to my ex and her new boyfriend. We exchange pleasantries and thank God my cell rings, an excuse to go outside.... They had just come from an afternoon of poker at someone's house, planned for a rainy saturday, the kind of thing I love to do.

I head back over to the other resturaunt and there now is a spot at the bar. Next to a couple I love. My doctor and his beautiful wife. We get along so well, and after talking and drinking and laughing... they love poker too, and always wanted to have a poker night.

I had a fantastic saturday night, even if it's ended early. And I've got a poker night planned for wednesday too.
