just before the iowa caucuses, i listened to michelle obama giving a talk at a senior citizen center/home and she sold me.

was that BEFORE or AFTER she was (for the first time was proud to be an AMERICAN)??? that doesnt scare you? she is to possibly be 1st lady and was not proud of America before now? scares me!!

"As to the recent comment asking why did all the blacks vote for him? They obviously have more trust in someone who they think shares their experience in this country. The assumption, of course is that he will provide some things that are needed in their community. "

I do not know how the Blacks think he has shared ANYTHING with them....his background is NOT African-American and his agenda is his own not theirs. Alot know that and are NOT voting for him. AND YES!!! HE IS SCARY, VERY SCARY. I keep hearing of all these changes but not what the changes are. Hey remember there was a time people thought HITLER was a good man and great leader. Look where that got them! He is slick, like a used car salesman and guess what he will be selling????

I'm sure he will have a wonderful 8 years in the White House, and when the public tosses the majority of republicans to the curb from congress, we will indeed see some serious accomplishments and progress, and i can't wait . . .

Once again you are in fantasy land ZenPup. While the country (thanks to academia and the media) is admittedly moving left it is doubtful Barrack will make two terms if he even manages to get elected to the first. You blindly follow the Democrat mantra and listen to the polls which are designed to garner the results the media wants. This is done to play on your psych (remember the NLRP). Yes, the mob that is using it most is the media and pups like you buy into it wholeheartedly. As for the Republican majority in Congress, did you miss the mid-term elections? The Democrats have had the majority since then and have accomplished nothing for the American people. Look at their approval rating. Yes, it is lower than Bush's which is pretty extraordinary. The only people that will benefit is BHO gets in and the Dumbocrats (not a typo) have the majority in both houses are those that suck on the tit of government becuase they are to lazy to work or are in the class (and ethnic group) the Dumbocrats want to keep in check. The problem is to many "do gooder" whites and ignorant minorities don't realize the scam the Dumbocrat Pary is pulling and continue to vote for them. Remember oh thoughtless one, Lincoln was a Republican. The Dumbocrats jumped on his initiatives after the fact, not because they believed in equality but because there was a plan to keep the blacks in place. Your party has been working it well.

I'm thinking it's just you. No, not getting what you're trying to say. Are you trying to say something that you're not saying? The only foreshadowing I can see right now is the way you're trying to "foreshadow" something by planting fear in other people's minds. Sorry your guts are tied up in a knot... maybe you need to see a doctor about that. It's not Barak's problem.

The words "scared", "evil" and "chill down their back" speak of a visceral response: not intellectual, logical or rational.

The author of the discussion does a good job identifying the origin of his response (Hitler) - he gets where it's coming from and so, hopefully, can use his awareness to make a rational decision. He may even, after reading more, realize there may be other hidden feelings about Obama (people who look, act, etc., like him) and what he represents.

Let's hope others can move past their initial reactions and vote for the team they choose rationally, whether it's Obama or McCain.

WRONG. AS ALWAYS. It takes 3/5 of the senate to vote yea to pass cloture on a bill, and bring that bill to the senate floor for a vote. When 43 - 47 republicans vote nay the bill remains in limbo.

And why on earth does McCain keep showing up in front of a hideous green screen? because some sick, lying behaviorist thinks the public will perceive McSAME as a green candidate? likely. There are a host of reasons not to vote republican stDinky, they are vultures gathered around the public trough, liars and thieves - and I cite Haliburton and Ken Lay of Enron fame as prime examples.

I cite the practice of swiftboating and note that even you have in the past perpetuated that lie - even though 9 out of 10 men that Kerry served with actively supported him - and if that doesn't demonstrate the monsterousness of the lies spead at the hands of the republican spin machine, then we are alll blind, and it is not a ditch to where we are now lead, but that great and yawning abyss

Talk about spin pup? That is what you're doing. If your dumbocrats weren't trying to pass trash they would be able to get the majority vote in both Houses they need. You keep pointing to the Senate when things don't go your way, but the truth is the Dumbocrats do have the majority in both houses by numbers. The vote requirements is designed the way it is for a reason so when asinine politicians (i.e. Dumbocrats) try to pass bullshit bills they can be stopped by sensable thinking politicians (i.e. Republicans (most of the time)).

I notice you don't dispute the fact that the Dumbocrats work to keep certain groups in a specified socioeconomic status. Interesting.
