I agree Jacquin...and I think the only reason Sarah Palin carries the "fiscal conservative" label is because she applied it with her own label-maker. From what I can tell, her actions would never have prompted anyone ELSE to refer to her as a fiscal conservative.

Please take note of the 27 million that Palin hung onto to build the road up to the bridge that allegedly went to nowhere that she was originally for and then against. But at least that bridge, that does not exist, would have a road to it! Go figure.

heres a quote or two - just bear in mind, the doc is lengthy and goes into extensive detail . . .
Palin Is Too Socially Conservative for Libertarian Alaska.
Palin is a strong conservative— something she repeated throughout her primary campaign but now seems to try to back off from. She is not only pro-life but is involved with—and even steered tax money toward—organizations that give misleading information on abortion. She called herself a “hard-core fiscal conservative” who wanted government to get to the bare bones. The Anchorage Daily News asked whether her “socially conservative positions square with Alaska's generally libertarian approach to those issues.” Palin also supported a flat tax, an idea even Bob Dole thought was absurd.
Palin’s Management Style is to Bully and Demand Political Loyalty.
Palin’s tenure as mayor of Wasilla was marred by tremendous staff turnover, first when she fired most of the top staff— including the city’s librarian—because she questioned their loyalty, and then later when staff quit because of her micromanaging style. Wasilla even lost the opportunity to hire a police chief because he said the job seemed too political.
Palin’s Not Tough Enough to Be A Strong Negotiator for Alaska.
As mayor, Palin fired someone because she said he intimidated her with his size and because he gave her a “stern look.” She asked her department heads to give her only good news and once complained because we are so desperate in Alaska for any semblance of glamour and culture.”
I tried posting this last nite, but TBD was having a hissy,
Not sure which thread this link came from, but it is inCightful!

In our country at this time, unfortunately, being a social conservative does not mean that someone lives an upstanding albeit traditional and perhaps reserved lifestyle. Au contraire, it translates to "I want to mandate everyone's lifestyle according to what I SAY are my values by admending the constitution, getting politically motivated Supreme Court justices sitting on the Supreme Court, and declaring that I am a "devout Christian". That is all one needs to do is state "I am a devout Christian." and they at that point can begin legally mandating how US citizens will conduct their private lives. Can't think of anything that would be better for our country (tongue in cheek) can you?

I did not see her cutting special education funding by 60% for children with severe disabilities in this document, since she claims to be a friend in the White House for those with disabled family members.

It helps to use the Internet to verify these smears before posting them.
Not her budget, the one left her by Frank Murkowski.
Under Palin, special ed finding has increased 175%.

And obama requested $740 million in earmarks including $1 million for his wife's job.

Kind of like Dick Cheney with a vagina.
Except Cheney, whether we like or dislike his actions, actually has credentials.

60% in one year alone!
