I personally feel that if we invited all people to such a conversation, it would quickly look like the political threads. Not good. And certainly unproductive.

Unfortunately, the open and the closed don't see eye-to-eye.

I'm open, yet cautiously so. One could get into trouble if not properly protected - regardless of where the protection is coming from.

I have a friend who helped remove a ghost named, Ray, from my apartment. I never saw the guy, but people who came to my home - who never knew each other - did. Ray had died in 1967, was very sad, and was apparently attracted to my "light". He then ensconsed himself as my bodyguard - and made the men who came in very uncomfortable.

And they say it was turning 40 that made men stop dating me! lol.

It's definitely an intriguing concept! I DO enjoy TAPS's work, but I also find their line of questioning when they attempt to contact a spirit, to be a bit mundane. How about asking: "What have you been doing with your time since you passed away" or something that might require an intelligent response vice the simplistic "yesses or nos" they seem to always go for.

I try to look at it with a scientific approach. If matter cannot be created or destroyed, then one could surmise that we all have been here all along in one form or another. It's not that hard of a concept to try to understand or even consider: That your energy can exist outside of your physical body when your body dies.

It has me digging for more answers because of the experiences I have had. If you can't explain it through normal reasoning, what other explanation is there? I enjoy discussing the possibilities and I hope more people comment.

I have a lot of respect for groups like TAPS, too. Any group that approaches the paranormal with a skeptical, reasonable manner is going to have my respect. On the other hand, I have a problem with groups like the one on that show, Paranormal State. I think their work is questionable, they take everything at face value and -everything's- caused by a demon as far as they're concerned. *eyes rolling* I guess it just depends on the group but yes, for the most part I do agree with you.

Paranormal groups..respected or rejected?
