9 11 will be ingrained on our souls for those who lost and those who were not ready to leave life. I grieve with the bereaved, and I pray for those that were not ready my heart hurts for them the worst. May the great commission speed up so that all will take notice and be prepared for what ever comes upon them

I am aware that 9/11 stirs memories. We all remember what we were doing on that day. I was administrating on a Christian message group on a secular forum such as TBD before it was coined social networking.
The message to turn on my TV was sent to me by someone in the UK asking why there was no news being passed around in the USA via Internet.
Shocked, I began posting a community thread. And people began to gather in one central location. Our particular group was blessed and was able to be a blessing that day when all those of differing religious persuasion and global locations gathered there and remained throughout the mayhem of that event and the aftermath of it. In those days, we did become one.
As for addressing the issue of "We are not innocent" that was not listed in the poetry as one of our acclaims of Christian by choice or a reflection of America by definition. Neither could it possibly reflect our standing or falling before God that day. Luk 13:4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
It was my decision yesterday, a believer, by choice to post a prayer in our community prayer thread for 9/11 and a poem here instead.
I also do not mean to stir the ire of anyone out here, in TBD land as a whole. I will post the prayer here also where it reached a greater people of religious diversity.

"Almighty God, we gather together today to remember the lives of those lost 7 years ago in this horrific tragedy. Many of us are still in grief. Many of us are still with anger. Many of us cannot to this day fathom why You would allow such disaster to occur.
We ask that You heal those that mourn.
We ask that You help us to see all the hero's that gave up their lives this day for the sake of rescuing others.
We ask that the family and friends of all that lost loved ones that day continue to do all within their power to keep their cherished ones memories alive.
We ask that You help this Nation to mend.
We ask that You minister to all those that still suffer trauma from this event.
We ask that no ones prayers or anguish be overlooked this day. In Your mercy, Lord, look upon us and give us Your peace as we mend. Amen"
I believe that not only Americans, but those throughout the world reacted in a positive way that day and did indeed become one for that brief moment in history.
To personally address the comment, "We are not innocent"
Thank you all from refraining from politicizing this September 11, 2001 Memorial that I passed on.

I'm with Ken too....9/11 is something that should never, ever be forgotten...
Thousands died that day....A hero's death each and everyone...My heart goes out to all the family, and loved ones, who are still mourning their loss.....

Today is not about right or wrong...today is about honoring those that lost their lives innocently and way too early...
sure there are alot of political issues, but just for ONE day, let's not debate the whys but honor the lost ! that is not alot to ask...it is respect...
there are many other days to debate the why......let's today just forget the "issues" and bring honor to those lost

The Love of our Heavenly Father is One of purity and not of judgement. Let us aspire to be like Him.
A poem by Nina
I rested high upon a hill,
I watched man from afar,
I decided I would wait until,
I would see one kind in heart.
I thought I would not be there long,
For I had quite a view,
It seemed my sights could fix upon ,
Nearly every place I knew.
My eyes did wander to and fro’,
Along each city street,
People passing people chose,
To look down at their feet.
Not one smiled, no one waved,
As if they could not see,
In this time, no words were said,
I sat in disbelief.
Soon my eyes grew weary,
I walked away, quite sad,
I leaned upon a nearby tree,
And asked, “God are You mad?”
“You who watches day and night,
You see us all the time,
Are You not saddened by this sight,
Your view of all mankind?”
“Look there,” He pointed downward,
A child was standing by,
She waited at a corner,
Tears had filled her eyes.
“I can not find my Daddy,
I know He’s really mad,
I ran away from him because
He made me hold his hand.”
Soon, amid the crowd appeared,
A man with tear-filled eyes,
In his hand, he held a teddy bear,
His gaze was fixed and wide.
Seconds later, their eyes did meet,
The girl ran towards her Dad,
Her Daddy fell upon his knees,
He kissed her little hand.
He carried her across the street,
So glad to find his child,
The Lord asked, ”Daughter, can you now see,
Get a glimpse of My love now?”
“The greatest love in all the world,
Is the love your Father has,
When one is lost how much it hurts,
‘Till My child finds her way back.”
The Love of our Heavenly Father is One of purity and not of judgement. Let us aspire to be like Him.
