Dallas, In my, er, rather demanding new role as midwife to "TWG: Tier II" I missed this wonderful post. You pointed to several moments I am embarrassed to admit having missed and will no go archive-crawling to find.

I thoroughly enjoy TWG. 'Buke, your hard work and patient, supportive den-mothering has knit us into a community. There's no praise high enough for that. You're also a damn fine writer and when I come to San Francisco, I owe you a drink.

To all the other writers here, I salute you for suiting up and showing up, even if your knees knock or you can't imagine anyone would want to read your words.

Special Mention to BMichael: An excellent writer, grower of moustaches, and wearer of tatty pink bathrobes, he's the first poster who talked to me and warned me of the lurking akabukowski. If only I'd taken his advice....

My toast to all who sail aboard TWG:
