As much as I like his work, I like his philosophy even more. He's a formally-trained painter (at Sorbonne,) who was never happy with his painting. He took up photography, which eventually became digital photography, and at some point, he found that combining his painting with his photography made for better results than either one alone.
It just goes to show you that if you're not that great at any one thing, sometimes combining all of your skills makes for better results.
I met this local artist, Paul Elson a few weeks ago at a street fair type thing.
