The top reason is that it gives you the opportunity to complain that you're not gettin' any! Of course, that's the top complaint of most marrieds, too, so there goes that argument out the window!

No, single or married, it is a matter of where you want to be at that moment because thanks to liberal divorce laws and even more liberal marriage laws, you can change your status on a moment's notice.

For folks in my generation, the best reason they give is that the woman lost her baby carriage but kept her playpen allowing for more choices and far more fun!
