What worries you?

Everyone has something they worry about. Sometimes it is irrational, sometimes not (although that can be very subjective). Now my Mom worries about EVERYTHING! I try not to be a big worrywart. But in the winter I do worry about driving on slippery roads. Sometimes I worry about my kids--their working at minimum wage jobs, relationships. I try to not over worry. I once heard a suggetion that you should pay someone to worry for you, if you do not worry that much :-)

I have two adult daughters 26 & 23 who live on their own. My youngest daughter is a single mother and lives alone with the baby. She works a lot and I worry that someone will either break in on her and the baby while she's asleep or while she is out of the house. I worry about my oldest daughter because she goes almost everywhere alone and she wears these 3 inch heels all the time with these over sized hand bags loaded down and is always on her cell phone and not being alert to her surroundings and I fear someone is going to attack her.

I wonder if we ever stop worrying about our kids?

I don't thing I'll ever be able to stop worrying about my kids. They are grown, married, on their way up in great careers, and both are parents of wonderful new babies. I still worry about them - and now have added the grandkids to the list. My father in law is in his 90's and he still worries about his kids, grandkids, and now his great-grandkids. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, so I'm following his lead.

My greatest fear is that my son will get physically or emotionally killed or scarred in Bagdad. My second biggest worry is that I'm goin go on a walkabout like crocodile dundee to fill a wanderlust that is building. I've been sooooo responsible for soooo long I wanna play hard.

I pray that your son returns safely, teddybear. Your worry is certainly warranted. I worry about several young people I know who are currently deployed.

And go for it (playing hard). Life is too short!

I don't worry, really. I try (and am fairly successful at it) to live in the present. This is not to say I don't plan financially for the future, but I don't think about it much.
