I think it's cool,that's some real history.

My dad had newsletters from his ship from WWII.I have yet to get to my sisters to see if she got them.God,I hope so,I hope his dingbat widow didn't get them.

I'd like to actually get them,make copies and give them to my kids and grandkids.If we have them,I want to see if a museum(he was on the original Enterprise) would want the originals.Of course,I'd want my dad's name and years of service with them.

I'm always amazed that something Mom taught me and I've been doing all my life is shown up by some new product or technology which has been around a decade or so.

At once I feel kinda stupid but also say thanks Mom.

The fire department no longer allows my birthday cake to reflect my age by placing one candle per year upon it. That much fire can suck all the oxygen out of a room. Anyway, the cake would have to be three feet across to fit them all!

I usually don't get a cake anymore...but I make up for it thru out the yr

Ok,I can't help it,I love the Bonnie Hunt show.

She told a story yesterday about how her mom would get all concerned if someone comes to the door.They had a system down,they'd have the house straightened in minutes.Everything would be thrown out of sight into one bedroom.

Now,with my kids,raising them,every night before we'd go to bed,I'd say,ok,now it's time to "act as if" someone's coming to visit tomorrow.

Now that they're all raised,I still try to do it.We never ger visitors,but I'll tell you,if you want a visitor,don't clean your kitchen,leave your living rm a mess.

There'll be a knock at your door first thing.

So,today,I've got this feeling,I got to go thru and straighten out what needs to be.I don't know who's dropping by,but someone is.
