Funny you should mention "The House on Haunted Hill." My mother was at a theatre watching that movie when she went into labor with my sister! That explains a lot. LOL.
I guess it scared the baby out of her. That could be a new catch phrase. LOL :)

Invited my 24 y/o son to dinner and he brought over "Hot Fuzz" for us all to watch after we ate. I read the synopsis and told husband and son I was going to go on my computer. Son convinced me to stay and at least give it a go. "You'll like it," says son, "You have a weird sense of humor."
He was right; it was hilarious! Now I have to rent the zombie movie!

Loved "Shawn of the Dead!" Couldn't stop laughing even in the gruesome parts. I must be warped.

Some of the gruesome parts were the best scenes in the movie. Being stuck in the jag with the zombie step-dad was great too.

That was my favorite scene--"Mum-he's nothing like the man you used to know" or some such dialogue, as Zombie Stepdad climbs over the seat to turn off the terrible music. It was actually a very sweet movie, too.
