Is it just me, or is belief in an all powerful, invisible, all knowing, omnipotent being, that created them universe yet knows your every secret and thought seem a little Superstitious.

Most people are willing to dismiss the mythological gods of Rome, Greece, or the Norse as being superstition. Yet when it comes to the Hebrew/Christian deity there is almost universal acceptance of a god with the same powers and characteristics . How can these same people say they are not superstitious. I don't see a distinction between the two that justify belief in one and rejection of the other. To me they are one and the same, arose by any other name is still a rose.

I heard one non-believer say that we are all believers one way or the other. Atheists just believe in one less god than everyone else.

...I believe the point of belief is to have an open mind, like having an open mouth, is to close it on something solid...

...I, myself have chosen to have a solidified, unyielding belief in God...
