Thanks Randy that was so desirable. Morning Britscot I kind do the reverse I start off with coffee and switch over to tea later on. Funny I did not start drinking Coffee till I was in my forties. I use to sell the stuff from a roaster in Philly, it was good stuff but i just did not want it. I stop selling the stuff ,then i started to drink it ? Anyhow Stay Dry over There.

Gene, feel free to abbreviate my name to Brit - everyone else does!
The tea thing is a British Custom more than anywhere else I think - or maybe it's common in some commonwealth countries.
All good hotels and B&B's in the UK have tea and coffee (of the instant variety) making facilities in every bedroom.
My routine in a morning is to put the kettle on and allow the tea to infuse whilst I'm performing my ablutions - you really wanted to know that didn't you - during which time the tea has brewed perfectly!
Almost everybody I know starts with a "cuppa" although I know of a few (Mrs Brit being one) who take the instant coffee instead.
I don't like instant - only espresso, filter or percolated when at home.

Brit WE all got our routines LOL,some morning I start with a cup of instant coffee while waiting for the fresh coffee to perk. And like this morning when I am up before the cows and chickens I use the instant rather then wake everyone else with my clatter. You know how impatient we are here in the states

The coffee is ready if you'd like some.
Thank you Randy - but I like a cup of nice English style tea in the morning.
I graduate to coffee in the afternoons!

Good, good. We have tea as well. Not sure if it is English style, but maybe it will do in a pinch.
