I am 51 and trust me it hurts to type it, say it out loud and sometimes think it because I feel better than ever.

Hey Blondie!

You never told me that before.

Congratulations, MigratoryJewel! You beat me to it..(I turn 45 next May) I salute you with a big heartfelt Happy Birthday!!! I read all my friends' messages before me here, and I was particularly touched by Britscot's.. wow! Sage advice, my dear! Makes you realize that the best is yet to come, indeed! How can you not be excited about what lies around that corner now?

How did you get through dealing with 45? Thirty was a breeze for me......this 45 is eating away at me for some reason.

Happy Birthday to you Migratory Jewel...

I can appreciate this post as I too am 45. I truly believe I have accomplished more in my 40s then I ever did in my 30s. I graduated from college at the age of 45. So I am with you on I should have done it a long time ago. But you know it wasnt in the cards for me then. So embrace this stage of your life cycle and hold your head high as you walk in the University doors. Not only should you be proud of yourself for going back to school but you will meet many non-tradtional students and bond friendships that will last a lifetime. You ask; what will the second have of my life hold in store for me? I am thinking some of the most memorable times in your life:) Lots of luck and happiness is being sent your way...

Also there is a "going back to college group" you might check it out. Take care...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

My profile says 45, but I won't actually be 45 until Monday, but who's counting?! Age is just a number. *wink*

Well happy birthday, m-jewel!!

Age is just a number

It's not the years in your life, it's the life in your years

the best is yet to come

with age comes wisdom

(how many other cliches can I come up with??)

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!

Happy Happy Day Migratory Jewel: 45 was a great time in my life & I was back in college as well. You will find you will do your best work at this stage of life. seriously! So laugh at it & forgetaboutit & go do whatever it is you want to do...Poly Sci...we definitely need more wisdom in our government so I hope to live long enough to see you make positive changes. BTW, I am 61 & so damn proud I've made it this long. TexasGma
