What is the most drastic career/job change you know of? I'll start by adding my ex-husband's career. He was a nuclear engineer turned television sports producer.

Military to civilian. All the rest were/are a piece of cake.
From a "gangsta leada" to pohlice offisah.
Commercial fisherman for 30 years, the ultimate outdoor job. Tried being a jail guard, the worst indoor job, lasted 10 weeks, went back fishing.
I have a degree in architecture...did that for 10 years. Thirteen years ago, I decided I wanted to be a fire inspector/fire investigator. Now I want to be retired...golf is calling my name..
