Okay, I'll 'fess up. I worked in the fashion industry in the '60's, if you can call a couple of little sportswear houses in SF fashion.

We were hired with the requirement that we matched the sample size so that we could be called away from our desks for a fitting at any time. Our claim to fame at SueJ was an advertising campaign featuring Twiggy... We got to buy the samples for practically nothing at the end of each season, and I took the ones she wore.

It was the beginning of the mini, which was very innocent compared with today's look : White fishnet stockings, fitted shirts with long pointy collars, acid colors, black patent mary janes, gloves and hats - I loved my red suede cap with my 'Oliver!' haircut!

And somewhere I still have my lime green leather miniskirt; I've considered stitching up the hem and making a tote bag of it...
