I suppose it's the last gasp of the McCain team to spend the last few weeks on a smear campaign, including making sure that we are aware that Barak Obama's middle name is Hussein. They have to count on people being stupid enough to make some sort of connection between his middle name and Sadam Hussein in the days of old. That's like saying we shouldn't buy Adolf's Meat Tenderizer because obviously, Hitler's first name was Adolf. Lame.
Then McCain's wife attacks Obama for not voting to increase funding for troops in Iraq. She needed to look a little farther down the roll call where her own husband voted against it as well. Different reasons of course, but at the end of the day, there was no increase.
It will probably all be attacks on person rather than discussion of issues. It usually comes down to this when the race isn;t tight enough.
One thing is certain. The media whores will air all of this because a tighter race makes for more compelling television. And of course, the ultimate vote is the Nielsen rating.
