You claim to be quite familiar with the middle east and it's culture. But yet you refer to them as "towelheads". If you are as familiar with them as you claim you would understand that "towelhead" is considered a disparaging term. If you understand this term then you are a bigot. If you don't understand this term then you need to google it and become educated. So which are you.....a bigot or uneducated?

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. You need to find another hobby, my friend. Following me around is going to make you extremely unhappy in the long run. Trust me.
I've already responded on this post to the people who had interesting things to share in response. I've moved on to other topics Rick. You might want to do the same.

I am truly touched that you consider me to be your friend. But I don't understand why, if we are friends, you would want to make me unhappy?
Hugs and kisses.
Your friend Rick
PS.....Can I tell my muslim friends about you? Maybe you'd like to meet them so you can call them towelheads to their faces.

Fair enough. And I can understand the need for the biggest pick up out there for certain farm jobs. I'm not arguing that point. But not everyone whose driving that lard ass of a truck is a farmer and I doubt you'll convince me that everyone on the road with an F150 (recall original discussion) is one.
The fact is, some people drive them because they're Ford's, their big, and they take up a lot of room on the road. There isn't any sensible reason for these people to have them. If you've got a good reason to need one, fire it up.
I orginally made this post because Detroit was making such a big deal out of the whopping better gas mialeage on the 2009 model. Exactly one more mile per gallon in the city and highway than in the previous year. That was the point from whence all of this strayed.
But now that you asked. I do want some money for that advice. But I'll defer that and let you make a donation to the Stock Market. They need it worse than me. :)

I believe we've come to the same point down different alleys. I too decry those who drive pickups just because they are sexy or cool. It is my personal belief that the urbanization of the pickup is what drove up the cost and drove down the efficiency. My earliest pickups consisted of a motor, transmission and a heater, that may or may not have worked. Today's machine does everything one could hope. So yes, I agree, many people could find something more economical to drive than a pickup.
I seem to be donating enough to the stock market to meet your requirements. Somebody told me the other day that we needed to get out of the stock market and pull our money out of banks and S&Ls. I don't know about the banks, but last week I was getting out of the stock market a little more each day.

True enough. You've done an excellent job proving your position and I appreciate it a great deal. I had to look down another alley here to see that there are good reasons to have one of the bad boys. The need exists.
I appreciated your input. Have a great day.
