Okay, I'll tell you guys. But you can't tell anyone else, because usually when I tell folks: a) no one believes me when I tell them because of the way that I act or because of the way that they think I ought to act, or b) people start acting differently around me. I am the assistant to the senior minister in a large mainstream protestant church and I usually love my job very much. Usually. ;^)

I'd imagine folks in law enforcement receive a similar reaction when they tell folks what they do.
