Before you click save, why not highlight and copy your text. This way if you lose the screen for any reason, your typed text is on clipboard and you can easily paste it back to the form?
That is a good idea PaulAdrian has. I tried to update mine and it didn't do anything.
what's happening here is that we've merged tags with interests, which is turning what was previously an open field into a database sort. We're encouraging (as I've posted, and will send out in a private message to all users) members to use comma separated tags in this field like: biking, walking, running. What's happening is the feature is treating your commas like separate tags and returning them in a different order, which, of course, makes any syntax crazy. You can still use the About me section to write in any way to see fit there. Sorry for the confusion.
